you can only use standard bolt on 5mm spacer. if you value you life and dnt wont to turn your car into a boat half way down the road with all the wheels coming off i advise you buy the longer bolts! if you add 10mm spacers take a standard bolt measure the thread and add 10mm to it to compensate for the extra distance it needs to cover through the spacer. JOB DONE.LOCK
-
yes

i think he meant yes you need longer ones not yes they will work to be fair although it may of been better to be more specific i agree

you only lose a couple of turns of the bolt there plenty running standard bolt with 5mm. lots of people do. i believe wazzzer and wayne and that bunch have all advised it in the past me being one of those people and never had a problem mate

as said just get longer bolts the extra length of the spacer you have.. 10mm so get 10mm longer etc etc
-
i always found 5mm doesnt give much centre bore for the wheel to sit on causing wheel wobble, using hubcentric spacers gives the extra ...
-
Yes longer bolts needed.

It dosnt give much of a locator for the centre bore to sit on yes but I ran 5mm spacers on the mk4 with Anni wheels for over 15kmiles.
-
yes the bloody wheel is a pain in the arse to mount on the hub lol
aside from that been running 5mm spacers with standard bolts for about a year now with no problems
-
do you not find any wheel wobble on 5mm?
-
Nope
-
me neither... :undecided:
-
interesting, perhaps i'll get my balance checked out then on mine and try 5mm as im on 3mm at the mo and its a bit close to the old strutt!!
