Hi everyone just had the car remapped yesterday and all i can say and do is :smiley: :smiley: :smiley:, the only thing is stopping..holy cow ass was nipping a bit. be better off using milk bottle tops for brakes, they are crap as standard :shocked:,
so i need new disc's and pads.
anyone know which ones to get that are good for about 150 quid mark.

thats wierd my standard ones were still fine after stage 1....
for that price just buy 312mm upgrade

think they need replacing gone a bit rusty in places, just wondered what everybodys putting on there car.

standard brakes are or should be fine but its always nice to get summat even better :laugh:

and again 312mm upgrade kit is what you want.. always come available..
mk1 TT and 4mo.. and anni.. and fabia vrs..

Probably the fluid when was it last changed?
Should be done every 2 years as it attracts moisture :nerd:

only had the car 4 months time to change it i think
is it easy for a novice, or garage time.. :undecided:

brakes are easy to change, I'd leave the fluid to a garage to do though....

garage its not easy for a novice VW only charge £45 for a fluid change :smiley:

+1 mk4 can be a pain to bleed. VW only charge £35 to change it IIRC

should i get them to change the disc's aswel to me they look like a "morris minors" might be still original ones that are on, it a 99 t reg.

VW will say they are worn even if they are not get a local VW specialist to check them over for you :wink:

there rusty around the top inch of the disc but only on the rear brakes,
as if the pads not touching the disc??
any ideas :huh:

Pads arnt contacting properly, or discs r that rusty pads are wearing quicker at top but can't clear rust off. Had a mk4 in yesterday with the problem. Happens all the time

Standard will be fine but as Rich said get the fluid replaced and the system bleed.
