Currently ive got fuel hoses for the the kjet system, but I've now got the fuel injector rail from an abf (abf inlet manifoldetc) So where the kjet lines connect just by the servo and that, do I take them out there? Where do I get new fuel lines from and how do you connect them. On the fuel line I've got the plastic clip bits with about 6" of fuel line on it. Do I just remove that old line and get fresh hose and connect to the bit by the servo.?

What the braided ones from the metering head etc? or the rubber ones flow and return?
The hoses look like they will go to where I won't them but how do I connect them to the plastics bit, just push them on?

what you do is get the old feed and return lines for the metering head. if you look at the end of them where the threaded fitting is, chop the plastic part off and you'll be left with a pair of threaded fittings with barbed ends. fit them to the 2 lines that come from the fuel pump and push on your abf lines then secure with proper fuel line clips :)

And they are my flow and returns, can I not just bring them over and chop them and put them straight onto my abf clip bit? Bit confused with the threaded fittings, are they what I see in the picture?

Yes, with sweary words and some perseverance. There are usually some springy clip things that hold the injector in the manifold, carefully prise that off then two spanners to unscrew them. Bit od penetrating oil wouldn't go amiss either otherwise you'll open up your thumb on a manifold stud like I did :wink:
I need to check out the fuel line on my ABF too as I'm think along the same ways as you.

If I do this, then there isnt any reason I couldnt start the car, after I solder a few wires. I am dreading it lol

Are those fittings, unions of some sort, as it looks like the abf fuel lines maybe a bit bigger than the k-jet ones, so would I need to remove the lines from those fittings in the pictures or all the way from the fuel pump ? Going to wait yet another week now as one of my abf fixings is snapped :angry: :angry: :angry: :angry: :angry: :angry: :angry: :angry:

cut a slit in the rubber/plastic where ive highlighted in red, then remove them. you are then left with a barbed fitting, prefect to push on your abf lines, just make sure you buy proper fuel line clips to secure them.

unfortunately your abf fuel lines have been cut short so they may not reach, if i was you i would try to source some uncut lines as they'll reach perfectly.
this is exactly how i did my own abf swap and its been driving for almost a year with no leaks :)
however i am planning to change to mk3 fuel tank and lines in the future though as its a neater solution, just the 1 pump in the tank so no more corrosion issues, plus easier to get them from zee scrappy

Thats a simpler option, thanks!. another boy told me to cut off those fittings then get some sleeves so I can put my abf lines over them and tighten up.
Yer I just wants the thing to start so not too fussed on the mk3 gear, if I keep it, then next winter Ill do it.

yeah i have seen that done as well, just my way leaves the lines a little more standard plus you dont need to find any sleeves :)

Right, got my hopes thinking Ill get the fuel lines done then I'll start the engine up take it to london to get it mapped and job done. But no.....
The flow elbow is too close to the a. the alternator bracket ( 9a engine) then b. the manifold if flipped around. So I cannot get my hose on without it kinked, well I cant even get the elbow in yet either but that will prob just take some wriggling.
Is the Abf alternator bracket designed to allow for the flow fuel line. It would be fine If I could get a 90 degree elbow for it, but the abf ones are 45 degree's.

Done!!, just had to fabricate that little spacer so I could move the bracket down a bout 2 inches.
