Title: Tar
Post by: gtd2010 on 14 January 2011, 13:38

Hi,

I'm just wondering if any of you with Candy white cars have had trouble with tar?

If so, how did you remove it?

I washed my car today and noticed speckes of tar on the boot and on the wheel arches and its annoying me.

Thanks.

Tardis, or Autoglym make a tar remover too.
Dont forget to re-protect the paintwork after as the tar remover will strip all wax off too.

How bad is it? Is you have a lot you will need a spray product like Tardis, if not, Dodo Juice make a spot tar remover:

I can only recommend auto glym tar remover. Quick spray on, leave for two mins and wash off, then repeat if needed. Coming from a black then red car, I have noticed the white golf is an absolute nightmare to keep free of tar spots!  nothing you can do about it???? Drive slower!?

put into a spray bottle... you only need a very light application... one spray misting the area while moving your spray bottle across

bingo! nail. hit. head.

some peeps are dubious of the products I recommend and err towards the likes of AG or Meguiars... but you have to believe me when I say Tardis is the best there is for tar removal, I have tried many different products and nothing comes close!

lol i tihnk its becuase people only like buying from brands that are available everywhere.. things like autosmart products sometimes arent easily found..

The start of last week i bought G101 and tardis from autosmart and they are both products i will not be without they are great and the best thing about G101 is is dillutes down so much you use hardly anything.

Tardis for me.

Used it on my girlfriends (white) car at the weekend for the first time and couldn't believe how easy it took it off.

Would there be much want for this if I started stocking it? Was thinking about stocking a few Autosmart products and Tardis was one of them

you would get me recommending it

Tardis
G101
Smart Wheels
Highstyle
Finish
Hazsafe
Duet
WAX
Pazzaz
BioBrisk
Glass Clear
Berry and Bubblegum Blast

you'd clean up imo if you stocked these as a lot of people have trouble finding AS products

the first three are a must!
