my mk3 has finally had it in my book!
awoke this morning, i needed her to go to southampton then to salisbury then back to wilts. started her up and heard a little "boomptin" upon firing, went to devizes came back and thought i's check the oil... to find it all emulsified and loosing water... head gasket, damnit!
so i was thinking of repair £200 ... so instead, im sellin the good bits, look on for sale boards... needless to say, didnt get anywhere today ...grrrr

Where you located?
-
lol alton barnes wiltshire.... near devizes
-
i figure the brand new adjustable coilovers and the blue lit dash and the BRAND NEW toyo proxy4's on nice alloys may fetch more than i can get for the car
-
lol, not far from me, what coilovers you got? Looking for a fekking back box for my MoT lol
-
blueline coilovers, and my backbox is almost new, lol
i'm happy to let the whole thing go for 600, t&t and it will drive still for a long while before it starts to run on 3

I would 100% confirm the head gasket has gone as a 1st step.

Oil cooler

it mite just be condensation in the rockercover and oil mixing get it hot and see if it goes and as for the water loss make sure it is not just a hose pipe leak i had one go on my car the other day because of the cold weather for some reason just cracked and was leaking a bit but new pipe fresh oil topped up anitfreeze and away i went

yep more likely to be oil cooler, hg dont usually just blow for no reason on a car as young as this
