bare carbon bonnets look chav imo, if i put one on my mk2 it would be painted the body colour  :grin: but then i would be after the lightness and not the looks

grp is 1/2 the price and almost as light anyway, for non structural stuff cf is a bit overkill on cars

yeah seen a few places selling either CF or GRP, guess finish and fit wont be quite on a par with CF but for a track car who cares about that anyhow

I think CF looks awesome ... would love a carbon bonnet on my bora but cant really justify spending that much  :sad:

granted, but no im actually compairing carbon fibre bonnet on a black car.. hence the reason to post, which i thought was quite obvious, seems thats not the case for the lesser blessed amongst us.

And yeah its all about the look, f**k all to do with owt else, i aint using this car for anything but daily driving and all i care about is it looking cool, if thats a crime then so be it

as for the fumes from model paint, nah man im more hardcore than that  :grin:
