Not the best pics for showing the mudflaps but i am delighted with them! Love the look on the lowered car, makes it look a little more lowered and a nice finish
Next in line is deciding whether to buy xenons, putting the Golf R lights has gave me the taste for them and the non xenon lights look even more p**h now
P.S. Had a wee play with a Focus ST with a remap tonight and it was very tight till the higher speeds and i gaind 2 to 3 car lengths! Thought the Focus would of been quicker but there you go.

looks top tits man
-
Kenny: I would love Xenons too. Bumper will have to come off etc and it is quite a job. Find 2 pairs at a good price and I'll buy one pair. I wish I had ordered.
-
Kenny, I seem to remember you saying you spent a fortune modifying you Polo and wouldn't be doing the same to the Golf..........
Addictive stuff isn't it.
-
Looking good Kenny,
The R lights and bigger tailpipes really finish the back end off IMO
They also go really well with the Candy White,
I think your wife is waiting for you to take some clothes to charity shop in your 2nd pic
-
Your car looks very nice indeed. How about a different set of wheels?
-
Looking good there, Kenny

Kenny don't listen to MAW. Your wheels are fine. He's just trying to bleed you bank balance by very cleverly playing on your mod fetish!

Take it back Kenny... some bast@rd's only fitted 3 doors on your car...

Not the wife just the GF, and yes she thinks am a bit of a dork for taking pictures of the car :nerd: not sure what she is doing at th door tho
Am1w - i have sent SteveP an email regarding the lights so waiting to hear back from him so will let you know how much etc
Exonian i really did believe i could keep this car and not mod it! I tried i really did
MAW not getting wheels now, been talked out of it on here! Next I want a set of xenons!

Is that an A4 parked in front of the GTI, if so how does it compare with the GTI eg internal plastics and finish?
I have a mate who drives an A3 and IMHO it looks a bit dated now and some of the plastics are not up to scratch, my mate loves all things Audi and won't hear a word of criticism so I have to keep my mouth tightly zipped  (I find it very hard) LOL.
I love the xenons on my car and although they were an expensive option I think the light they give off and the look of them is ace.
All the best
Gizzy

Right, first things last:
Gizzy: Totally agree that the A3 looks tres dated especially the 5 door which is in dire need of plastic surgery. I drove an S3 and I felt disconnected with the road. Plus it had a weird and lumpy ride. Made me feel physically sick. And stop rubbing in your 'Xenon love' you evil lush! Yes we know you've now got what it takes with your latest illumination.
Kenny: I've asked for Darren and Steve to look out for Xenons. I think we will have a long wait unless we buy them from eBay and the bits from Kutec. Very pricey with the fitting.
MAW: Don't wind Kenny as he will go and retro-fit an extra pair of doors to his car! Nothing is beyond him!

Yeah, its my old mans car. My mum has an A3 aswell, 58 plate (i think) and its much nicer than the Golf inside am afraid to say :lipsrsealed: Such a nice car to drive, lovely steering wheel and really nice finishing touches inside all in all much nicer to drive than the Golf, feels more classier! Only think that lets it down is the engine.........1.6 slowmo!!!

Gizzy did you aftermarket fit Xenons or come with the car?
Am1w am thinking about asking Steve to get them for me straight from VW instead of hanging about waiting for a set on ebay! Winter is approaching! Lets be safe out there  and look good!
-
Kenny if we both do it, we'll be the first Mk6 owners to do so! It's a hell of a job.
-
Do you know whats involved in fitting them? Am not bothered about headlight washers, and maybe with out the auto adjustment for now?
-
Kenny, it's the law to have washers with Xenons. This will be a problem as you will need a new bumper for the washer jets and some extra plumbing, I feel. I've got washers. The self-levelling is not that hard to install as it comes as a complete kit. I bet this has put you off, sorry.
-
Am not bothered about having headlight washers. Ran about in my Polo with aftermarket xenons with no probs. Never knew the auto levellers came with the kit, though that wasanother add on you had to buy?
-
You buy the Xenons, auto levellers separately which includes wiring etc. I think!

Not 100% right, the adapters for the lights are separate from auto levellers.
Also is not a legal requirement for the washers either, that's a requirement for new cars, cars retrofitted with properly aligned xenons will have no issues with the fuzz or MOT's.
-
I stand corrected by the Oracle! But is not a hell of a task and very expensive to retro-fit them? Does not the bumper have to be removed?
-
Steve can you pm me a price for them again please. Sorry for being a pain
bumper off is a piece of p*** am1w, you could manage it no bother!
-
So one does not need to purchase the auto-levers either?
But I do fancy the dancing.
Costs?
-
I am working on the pricing and will have an answer after the bank holiday
-
Well Kenny one would think it would be but the VW bodyshop took 4 goes to align mine with the wings after they re-painted it and it is still not right!
I seem to be very unlucky with my bumpers! Hence my wariness!
-
Steve thou art a star!

had the same problem with my polo after changing the intercooler but that's not enough to put me off some sexy xenons!
good man Steve, looking forward to hearing the prices!

I'll hear from them tomorrow.
I will e-mail Chris Craft, MD VW UK, if I don't get satisfaction. I will also contact some motor organisations + What Car? and AutoExpress.

am1w, are you still interested in a set on xenons?
