Title: Auto Express
Post by: GolfTi on 04 August 2010, 21:36
Is this old news?

Auto Express hatchback of the year 2010 is the Golf.

Hot hatch of the year is the Golf GTI (again).

Didn't buy it (as I already know the best hot hatch of this year and last) just browsed.

To save you buying it....

Yeah it mentions that there are faster hot hatches out there, but none can hold a candle to the GTI in terms of ride and quality, just what we already all knew  :smug:

Noticed they had to use a white or red one to cover up the pain quality issues

Depends if there are other candidates

To be honest it's always going to be a toss up between the Clio 200 and GTI. As discussed before each have their merits.

Diplomats don't need votes.
They are mostly selected from the Civilian Service in this country unlike the US of A.

Er, not quite. In the UK, diplomats are part of the Foreign and Commonwealth Office. In the US, diplomats are part of the Department of State and are appointed rather than elected.

Err, not quite. I did not say anything about elected diplomats from the USA either. The FCO is part of the Civil Service. In the USA, the President can sometimes select the person even if he/she does not belong to the State Department. Favouritism?

I shall have to give it a shot with a steam iron then sometime when I'm feeling brave.

As you mentioned the other day the leather seats in the rocco's are admittedly better than the golf's.

Use a damp tea towel. Then place a steaming iron just above it but not quite touching the towel. The steam should smooth out the leather. Then apply some leather conditioner when the leather is no longer damp.
