What is this pipe called and what is the part number? The reason I ask is because I went to see a friend of a friend today with regards to my tracking and camber. Whilst they I mentioned the leak from the pipe and about getting the EGR delete pipe. He said this was a big NO NO and said I should just replace the pipe.
Could anyone shed some light on wether the EGR delete is a bad thing as I know loads have it so I can't cause any problems.

You'll like this one too. He said I should only get 17's cos 18's give the wrong rolling radius and will cause problems with your diff and clutch :huh:
If that's right you lot with 18's (i.e. MOST OF YOU) are wrong and your cars will soon die!!! :evil:

P.S Got my black vinyl from corf today so will be doing that next week. Should loook sweeeeet! :laugh:

That's exactly what I thought when he said it. Was tempted to see what he said if I said about the anni's that came with 18's as standard but knew he was talking bol-locks so just nodded and smiled.

Hmmmmm that will save me £20 from the price of the EGR delete . What are the benefits for the EGR delete over the stock pipe?

He's actually right. Larger wheels do put more strain on the drive train.
But it doesn't mean the cars will soon die, just the running gear won't last as long.

not right really.. what if you get a set of 18" wheels that are lighter than the standard wheels? carnt see any strain there plus if you use 225/40/18 tires on your 18" wheels the speedo wont be out http://www.kouki.co.uk/utilities/visual-tyre-size-calculator

an 18 inch wheel with the correct tyre will have the same radius as a 15inch wheel to within about 0.0001mm

so if I wanted to go 18s that's fine (as I had 16's as standard) but you couldn't as you have 15's as standard?
