Title: BBS RAs 15" for £137 - Good!?
Post by: SoundillusioN on 19 April 2010, 16:09
So i decided that i wanted some RA's for my MK1 for now... I had some refurbed ones on my previous white mk1 in Gun Metal grey metallic and they looked mint.  just won a set of four in good (not perfect) condition on the bay for £137... good price?... i thought so... bit of a drive to fetch them though!... hope they're not sh*t when i pick them up!

I sold a set with tyres for £50 a few years ago.  I can't be bothered trying to get top dollar.  I'd rather sell stuff at a bargain price and not get mucked about.

when I sold my mk2 I gave the guy that bought it everything else that was VW related or at least usable...spare parcel shelf, a stealth shelf, external trim, old stereos, rear and indicator lenses, front grills etc etc.  My garages are looking nice and clear and ready to be painted in the summer

Unless you want a full size air hockey table?

I know what your saying but sadly some people need some cash back to purchase the replacement.

Can't wait to get to work on them... They're standard at the moment but intend to do the same as below as I think they will suit my car very much this way...

Damn I have a spare set like that in my shed. Not quite as mint though, and the lips need polishing. I was going to get them stripped as well and painted back original.

get the polo... you could make that a fun motor, mk4 golf is too heavy for a 1.4.  :undecided:

ok so in the end this purchase turned out to be a waste of time..... paypal held the funds for the purchase for security reasons but wouldnt tell me why as the issue was with the seller.  they advised that i put in a claim to get my funds back and the seller offered that i pay cash on collection.  paypal advised against this as the held funds im trying to get back would no longer be protected.  I hve told the seller that i dont want to risk paying twice and it has got far too complicated and dont want  risk paying twice.  the seller has changed their phone number once already and many other things have happened that have made this look very iffy.... now still on the look out for a set of spotlines or RAs....
