Depends on the specs of your car and the ED30, and the ED30's history.

Drive it normally.  You might not like the higher revs needed to fire up the turbocharger.
Remember a remapped GTI is faster than an ED30.

Who told you that Egbert?  :embarassed:

Mapped ed30 against a mapped gti = ed30 fastest by far!!

Yeah, but he didnt say that. A remapped GTI is faster than a standard ED30.

I think what he was trying to say is that if you want a bit more power then just get it remapped rather than going through the hassle of swapping cars? ?

Yes your right he didint , just a bit quick there to defend the Ed30, he says its a chav car! Never seen a chav driving an ed30 in my life and I have seen a lot of them TBH around london!!

Im not so sure mate, they are dropping below 8k now, not hard for a chav to finance.

Over the last 6 months, I've seen more GTIs and ED30s than I have in the preceeding three years. They've come down in price and people are trading them in for the MK6s.

It's only because they're now coming up three years old, VW warranty running out, and owners are upgrading to their next new car. Anyone that can afford a new GTI is bound to upgrade often. But there do seem to be an awful lot of these "exclusive, limited edition" cars!

My steel grey Gti was with me only 3 weeks before i came accross an ed30 on private sale.

Sold my car back to Vw, took a 1000 hit, but best extra £1000 ive ever spent on a Vw.

Poor old Egbert wishes he bought an Ed30, but will never admit it.

Never mind ahe, keep toeing the caravan fella

I might be able to make your decision easier! im after a good gti whats ur spec and hav u got any pictures? If you did sell then u could get a better deal on your new one with cash rather than a trade and not get ripped off!!! let me know!

Mark.
