Title: Insurance quote
Post by: maxp on 01 March 2010, 21:45
Im, 25 y/o (just), 3 years license and 3 years no claims and 0 points.

Live in an average area, street parking, 8000 miles pa, used for commuting.

8v GTI, quoted around £580 fully comp with elephant w/ a £250 excess. Sound fair?

Sorry but but bragging about wasting money is retarded, congrats.

I think that quote is a bit too expensive really imo, £250 excess aswell, what's the point?

I'm 22, 4 years no claims, have 2 fault claims from way back, banned (5weeks) for doing double the limit, no points, black 1989 mk2 8v GTI = £620 Thrid party.

Think you can get a better deal if you add some named drivers, brought mine down LOADS and its completely legal as I am the main policy holder.

That's pretty good, I'm 21 1 yrs NCB, 1 at fault and 1 non fault crash paying £715 on an 8v. A lot better than the £1800 I paid last year

Hmmm, i'm 22 with 3 years no claims and 5 years licence, 0 points. Again live in average area but it's on a drive, 8000 pa and commuting...so pretty similar to you. Got an 8v Gti and im paying £440 a year with bell

Maybe worth a try? Bell and elephant are sister companies so they should price match each other as well.
