I am trying to find some pictures of these 'Retailer Supplied Accessories'.
I am going to fit the steel sill trims but I am not too sure of the steel boot protector. My dealer says it shows even with the hatch is closed.
These items are quite expensive, but I think they will 'finish' the car off quite nicely.
Your help will be most appreciated.

Is the kind of thing but in plastic?

I didn't choose them for the look - I hope they serve to protect the paintwork when dragging cases out of the boot and the door sills if shoes hit them

That is right. The one I was considering was in steel.
So the dealer was correct about the visibility of the boot sill protector.
I will just have the door sill steel trims fitted.
Thanks p3asa for the speedy reply.

The door sill steel trims are not visible when the doors are closed unlike the boot sill protector.
There is also a clear film boot sill protector available. I will go for this instead for the boot and the steel trims for the doors.

I ordered transparent for the boot and I think transparent for the door sills, too

Great men think alike - well nearly!

Don't you think steel would be better? And what if some rubbish gets stuck underneath? Are you really really sure about this?
-
I will pop down to my dealer next week, but as he is a good hour away was wondering if anyone who has seen the brochure knows if there are side and back window blinds available?
Your help would be appreciated.

Can this be fitted afterwards...If yes I found another option to my liking
A pic of the steel one would be more than welcome...I myself would not go for some sort of plastic...I think steel is the way to go if it has to be functional
BTW I am doing my utmost to get my car with as little plastic as possible :lipsrsealed:

Thanks Snoopy for the pictures.
Spoke to my dealer first thing this morning.
They are posting me the brochure today.
Definitely full steel door trims for me, but no trim for the boot sill.
Dealer was very helpful and felt that the clear plastic boot sill protector would not look too good as the bumper surface would lose its shine and possibly look even worse with time. Better to go with full steel on this surface or nothing. Hence, nothing for me.

Snoopy where did you get those sill protectors from they are exactly what I'm looking for.

These are the 'Retailer Supplied Accessories' I have selected from the brochure.
(1) Door sill steel trims for 5 door - £153.00
(2) Luggage net on boot floor - £41.00
(3) Front rubber floor mats - £30.50
(4) Rear rubber floor mats - £26.00
Total = £250.50
The above prices include VAT at 17.5% and fitting where necessary.
Dealer has 'promised' me a very good discount on the above items.
Cannot bring myself to pay £140 for front & rear mudflaps! Totally ridiculous!
I might add cruise control for £162.50 (fitted), depending on the discount I get from my dealer.

Too busy a site as p3asa remarked.

^^^Shame they don't do those stainless ones in a bit of a smoked finish.
-
Im confused on how those fit :undecided:
-
If you look at the GT ones on their website it shows you them fitted. I'm a bit undecided as to whether they will look really nice or be a bit cheapy looking....?

The sills look great...... shame they don't do GTI embossed ones, but they still look very smart indeed. I may have to get some of these myself.
p.s. Asker, your now safe to where those high heals again without fear of scratching your car
-
am1w those sills are no good, they are not protecting both levels. Unless you wear high heals or have a woman in your life you wont know how bad it is unless both levels are protected.

Martin, you've ruined them after I lent them to you. They were only ment to be used in-doors.
Kev: I've resorted to Doc Martins and kilts. So much more practical and relieving on a long journey.
