Title: New GTI Owner .. Hello

Hi there.. Just took delivery last night of my Mk6 GTI so can't say much for now except that I am quite happy with it.  Some info on the car:

Carbon Steel Mk6 GTI
DSG
18" Alloys
RNS 510
Parking Assist / Rear Camera (nice party trick but don't know if i will really use the parking assist function..)
Vienna leather
Multifunction steering wheel (NOT!!!).. didn't notice till i got in the car.. :laugh:
Xenons
LED Rear lamps
Climatronic
Standard suspension (thought that ACC came standard but..  :laugh:)

Hi everyone
just joined today I currently own a 56 GTi 3door in Graphite Blue and am awaiting delivery of new 5door Tornado Red GTi hopefully, according to dealer , in mid April.
Current car done 28000 miles.

Can't believe you've not got the multifunction steering wheel, it is standard in the UK.  Mind you those led lights look good on the car and we don't get them as standard.

Great looking car btw, similar to mine.

Thanks Gizzy.  Dark metallic colours look great on the GTI, don't they?  They are a pain to keep clean, though.  Especially here in dusty Dubai.  I can't think of another country where the MFSW does not come standard with the GTI.  I just assumed my car had it but (and I'm not kidding) I only noticed this when I set off from the dealer's parking lot.  I was pleasantly surprised to see the LED's, though, which sort of makes up for the lack of the MFSW.

Thats because people in Dubai are not as lazy as other countries and they are still capable of lifting their arms up to reach for a button 6 inches away  :grin:

Haha.. I don't know if I agree with that observation. :smiley:  I may have been guilty of that as I loved them on my previous car.
