Can someone please give me the pt number for the de lock kit?
Mr Orange told me the other day (I think ) but it's gone :(
-
I found the answer to my own Q with regards to mr orange giving me the information, he gave me the guide but not the part numbers.
But I have a mate who works at a seat main dealer and his on the case looking up all the part numbers.
Just need a rattle can now in the correct colour and away i go

Daft question I know, but what would happen if the central locking should fail? How would you get in the car? The boot...?

Need to keep it lubricated as it doesn't get used much because most use the C/L

Is the boot lock seizing a common fault then? I'd not heard of this one before?

Every golf I have owned has had a seized boot lock.

I thought I best check my boot lock after I delocked the car the other day.
The key goes in and turns ok, the lock was vertical which lets the boot work with the C/L. I can turn it horizontal to stop it working with the C/L and it will turn another 1/8th turn clockwise.
Problem is, when I lock the car on the fob I can't open the boot with the key?? Which way does it turn to open it?

Log Book says:
Lock set upright - tailgate can be opened with CL
Lock set flat - tailgate permanently locked
Turn to left 10 o'clock - tailgate can be opened mechanically

Ok, thanks. Will give it a go tomorrow

Finally got round to having another try of the boot lock.
If I unlock the car on the fob I can lock the boot manually with the key and unlock it, If I lock it with the fob I can't unlock it with the key, the key does turn ok? Is it something to do with a deadlock?
