Daft question I know, but what would happen if the central locking should fail? How would you get in the car? The boot...?

I personally would go via the boot others may choose a hammer through the window

I thought Id be able to get in through the boot when I done mine........but my boot lock is seized 
Id pry the door open a little up the top and open it door handle or call the RAC

Mine has seized aswell.

Need to keep it lubricated as it doesn't get used much because most use the C/L

Is the boot lock seizing a common fault then? I'd not heard of this one before?

Every golf I have owned has had a seized boot lock.
