yes - they can make a key if you give them your chassis number
However they will still need it to program the key to the car
And yes breakdown companies will be able to get into your car
If i was you i'd get another key sorted ASAP
-
cool, im on it. just poped the case off
-
rhyso, do you know if the ebay vag com can program the spare key?

iv noticed on this website http://www.vagproducts.co.uk/keyfob.html
the model number which is nearest to mine is HLO IJO 959 753 A
but mine is HLO 1JO 959 753 A, does anyone know if that is just a error?
-
hmm could be an error
the 1JO denotes the MKIV chassis :nerd:
why not drop them an email or call them to confirm
-
emailed them.
from what i can gather from reading back through alot of threads, if god is on my side and i have the skc number in my documents at home people have been saying you can use vagcom to do it, im guessing it is the full version needed though?

the SKC code usually came on a little black tag attached to a plastic key
