Bought the Fiscon Basic Plus kit yesterday, arrived today, took twenty mins to fit myself and my local garage with VAG.com 2 minutes to activate it.
Synced with my iphone straight away and has provided an awesome fully integrated solution, very happy!
Highly recommended for anyone looking for bluetooth.

yep, perfectly. Will get some pics up.

hmmm... confused here. the other thread i was reading led me to believe that the MFSW buttons wouldn't work with an after market kit.
would be good to see the pics.
how much did it cost for the unit and then how much for the installation?
also - doesn't it invalidate the warranty?!

The functions on the right side of the steering wheel operate the phone. I paid £290 for the kit and fitted it myself for free in hardly no time. Someone with vag.com will need to tick the phone box. Warranty? It's plug and play, my understanding is that if you don't start cutting and soldering stuff then you should be fine plus this kit os from Kufatec and I believe they are an OEm supplier to VW?
Here's a few pics:
This is where I have installed the mic, just behind the door seal rubber.

No the right. I have my iphone plugged in playing my tunes and when a call comes in the music goes off and I just press the middle OK button to answer on the right side of the MFSW. The clarity of the call is fantastic.

good stuff
linking the iphone for both tunes and as a phone is brilliant!
that said, i do want to use the buttons on the left since i don't like the idea of redundant buttons. OCD? Me? Never!

The seamlessness is awesome........
Tools I needed to fit it: 1 x regular eating knife (nice round blunt end to remove the fascia around the head unit), 1 x torx key to undo the four bolts that hold the head unit in (can't remember the exact torx size), some bubble wrap around the blue tooth box to stop any rattling behind the head unit and a couple of zip ties for the mic lead under the steering wheel. It really was ridiculously simple.

What does the phone button do on the left then? I take it you have to use OK to answer and end a call.
Excited about getting mine fitted, it is going to be fitted on my car when i pick it up in 2 weeks.

The phone button is redundant.

Well done Gossa!!! you have just cost me more money
Does the callers name appear on the head unit whe some calls or just on the mfd??
-

I meant its really good, something may have been lost in my Northern Irish teminology there.
Well, if you pair the Fiscon with the RNS 510 you have full control of your phone book and also all phone functions via the touch screen. It is completely OEM look and functions brilliantly. The quality and reliability of the bluetooth connection is also excellent.
If you have the Highline (which I dont) you can also read SMS messages (depending on your phone) in the display. You can also stream bluetooth audio via the Fiscon system should you desire to do so.

Many thanks for posting these pictures. I think I will go for the Fiscon system as well.
Just dream on as my car is not going to arrive til Sept  These photos just heighten my anticipation!
(Order placed late June)

Ah sorry, but money well spent I reckon! Yes the name comes up on the head unit and the mfd.

Lol - I'm going to stubbornly stick to my VW factory bluetooth kit as I want to use the left hand button to answer calls! :p

I just bought a Jetta Sportwagen TDI here in the US - I believe its called the Golf Estate (I hope I don't get ejected from the forum!). I have the RCD-510. Would I not have full control of my phone and all phone functions via my touch screen?
How do I know if I have a Highline display? I think I do......
Thank you!
