Thanks, it tickled my mrs when i told her there was such a thing as a bonnet bra.I suppose you put them on and take them off when you are travelling to a show
-
Meh i leave mine on all the time i like the look of them on the mk2's

Yes just seen your photo it looks like it fits quite snug.
-
Yeah they fit pretty tight the one in my pic is one my mate made for me in white  only put it on at shows otherwise it gets dirty reallll quick, its abit of a marmite bra that one either you love it or hate it lol, i usually run around with a standard black one on.

im not sure really, i like em on mk2's cause there a square car and the straight lines of it looks good on there if you get me, im not as sure if they look as good on a curvy car really but on certain new cars they do look good, but on a standard new car? i probably wouldnt get one. that just my opinion tho

They seem to be quite fashionable at the moment. You have to be careful that debris doesn't get inside and not leave them on for too long - A bit like underpants really.
I travelled in the company of two Mk5 GTI's on a long road trip recently and they both had bonnet bras, so I saw a lot of them. I'm afraid that I think they look absolutely ghastly!

Be carefull not to leave it fitted too long as it can and will cause paint problems.
-
each to there own and all that lol , but i like them on older cars rather than newer ones. And as stated take it off everytime you wash the car if you can, ive waxed undermine a few times just to give added protection against the moisture build up

Personally I think they are the most stupid looking things that have ever been invented - hence why they are so popular - NOT.
Dont do it Dude!
-
I believe this is the only species you should see bra's on.................

It's a daft Herby thing.
Makes the rest of VW drivers look like idiots.
Please don't do it to a Mk5 GTI.

+1... I'm sure they serve a purpose and each to his own, etc but that sure is one silly name for a car accessory.

I still dont get them, they look sh!t and only cover the front bit of the bonnet, what if a stone doesnt hit the front of your bonnet and hits the middle or the top or anywhere other than the front bit of the bonnet . . . .

Yes, but if you look at stone chipped bonnets (Mine) then you will see that about 90% of the stone chips are where the bra would have been.
-
do they come in different colours? a black bra on a black car looks a bit boring. If they came in white or grey would look better on my black car.

....
Personally I don't care about frontal stone chips - The parts are plastic and my bonnet is painted carbonfibre and so none of it is going to rust.

^ Looks fine without the 'toblerone bars'. This one belongs to a pair of lesbian girls - Apparently both particularly nice people and also hot babes. I suggested that the mate of mine doing the refit (Rock 'n Roll bed etc) fit a secret camera!

100% useless without pics RR :D
