Has anyone done this and is it easy?
Any tips would be really helpful.

It's the easiest engine mount i've ever changed, simply undo the top mount bolt, support the engine with a jack being careful not to crush the sump etc (On the end of the gearbox works well). Then remove the lower fixing bolt from the mount and slowly jack engine up just enough to pull the old mount from it's seating. Refitting is simply a reversal of this procedure as they say in the books.

Fitted today very easy,
Just be aware you need to remove 3 bolts, and 3 nuts. He haynes manual says u need to remove the starter motor but thats not totally true.
Only took 45 minutes and saved me at least 200 quid, well chuffed!!

is it the same procedure for the 16v? as mine needs doing eventually and would like to attemp it myself

good work team!
thought about replacing mine as i had to remove it to get to the cranckshaft sensor but it was fine so just waxoiled it up and whacked it back on!

Thanks for putting this up, saved me asking as mine has sheared off, and now my engine sits low lol! Sump is about 3 inches of the floor :O

Even i managed to do mine and im not known for being great with the spanners! Its all pretty apparent what needs doing when you get under there.

I got the mount from euro car parts, it cost me 43 of the English Pounds.

I dread to think of the noise and vibration with that thing fitted.

They're not too bad to be honest.
Fitted one to mine before last trackday, a fair amount of vibration when you are turning the engine over to start it but alright after that.
Plus side is that the car feels firmer throwing it around corners, the gear lever stays still under heavy acceleration and braking, and has stopped the exhaust banging on tight fast corners. Also £3 cheaper than the GSF crap rubber one.

so had no other problems with it yet??
you use it day to day or just track+fun runs??

No other problems with it so far.
Car is only used for track fun, at least once a month, and a few local runs to the tip etc. Stripped and lightened its too noisy and stiff to use every day but a riot on the track.
