« on: 06 June 2009, 15:06 »
Has anyone done this and is it easy?

Any tips would be really helpful.

It's the easiest engine mount i've ever changed, simply undo the top mount bolt, support the engine with a jack being careful not to crush the sump etc (On the end of the gearbox works well). Then remove the lower fixing bolt from the mount and slowly jack engine up just enough to pull the old mount from it's seating. Refitting is simply a reversal of this procedure as they say in the books.

Fitted today very easy,

Just be aware you need to remove 3 bolts, and 3 nuts. He haynes manual says u need to remove the starter motor but thats not totally true.

Only took 45 minutes and saved me at least 200 quid, well chuffed!!

good work team!

thought about replacing mine as i had to remove it to get to the cranckshaft sensor but it was fine so just waxoiled it up and whacked it back on!
Wouldn't be fun if it was easy, but does it have to be this much fun?

Thanks for putting this up, saved me asking as mine has sheared off, and now my engine sits low lol! Sump is about 3 inches of the floor :O

I got the mount from euro car parts, it cost me 43 of the English Pounds.
