How many miles you doing a year, then?

65x52=3380 plus 2k in leicester trips and you're thinking of a diesel WTF!!!!!!
On another note I know owners of both 130 and 150 diesels and even some 150 owners secretly prefer the 130

Will be a false economy on your mileage, though!!

even i've got to say it won't be worth swapping
how are you doing those 65 miles a week?? if its short journeys you'll struggle to see decent MPG as the diesels take longer to warm up so you won't reach their peak efficiency
if you were doing 65 miles a day then its a no brainer
-
I've always thought the general rule of thumb is that if you do about 12k or less a year, use petrol. More than 12k, get a diesel.
-
over the last 6 months i sold my 1.8T and got a 130 TDI , but have now gone back to a 1.8T just beacuse i did not do the mile to justify why i bought the diesel.
So much happier with my 1.8T
DONT DO IT

Doing short journeys like that it wouldn't matter what car you had you're not even warming the car up when you've reached your destination. Also i would go on a long drive at least once a fortnight to get the engine working as it should.
