off to scrappie saturday. And want some caliber carriers so i can run 312mm discs on the front. Is the anni golf and tt the only vag cars that have these?

No mate, you can get them from a couple of skoda's.  And also a few more Audi's like A4's and A3's

got me mate, my neighbour just brought one, it's the quicker one of the two engines so maybe why.

He tells me it's rapid, but then he's use to camper vans, lol

The S3 you got the covers off would have them too

If you find an Octy Mk1 VRS get the 256mm rears for yourself too  :wink:

It's a bolt on mod, BUT.................  unlike the fronts, you need to change the calipers as well as the carriers, which in turn, means you need to disconnect the brake lines & bleed them etc.. ;)

Easy, mate.  I did a mini-guide on a thread, once, but good look finding that, LOL. :D  There will be loads around, though. ;)  uk-mkivs/vortex etc. :)

7mm hex socket for the caliper slider bolts, 18mm socket for the carrier bolts & either phillips or torx screwdriver depending on how old your brake disc screws are.

just phoned scrappie thez wont sell me just the carriers. Bummer.  Will cost me £250 for TT carriers, TT discs TT pads and flexis what ever them are. What u ppl think?

£80 carriers + £50 discs, so seems a tad pricey to me considering they're S/H.  (You don't need the calipers & flexi's). ;)

Find another scrappy...... I got my carriers for £23 from my local yard.
