Title: Hi there, im new to the forum - i have a couple of problems with my golf gti !!
Post by: nikkim53 on 24 February 2009, 12:27: Hi there, i'm new to this forum and I have a couple of probelms with my 2.0 golf gti mark 3.

Firstly, my reverse light does not come on when reverse gear is chosen, i have replaced the bulb but still nothing - is there a fuse for the reverse light and if so where is this located ??

Secondly, the 15 amp fuse for my central locking, cigarette lighter, interior light and trip computer keeps blowing after only a couple of days - i've heard this could be down to the fact my rear windscreen wiper has ceased, could this be the case and if so how do i go about unsticking the rear wiper ??

Any assistance in this matter would be grately appreciated as i'm looking to sell the car soon !!

my cigerette lighter doesnt work, the cetral locking, wipers etc all do though :undecided:

I'll need to get some pics up - car is pretty standard apart from subtle changes (bee sting arial, chrome door pins, crome heater switches, new stereo and decals) but a really clean car !!

main interior light doess, the 2 side interior light = left one doesnt right one does!

i know, its wierd!

The reversing light fuse is, i think no. 14 in the fuse box. If that is OK, try and clean out the bulb holder. i had the same problem and it sorted it......may work for you too.

Not too sure about the other problem though but good luck with them :smiley:

Any ideas what could be making the fuse blow or am i best just taking her to the garage for them to fix ??

park about a mile away from your house then call out the AA to check it over :wink:
