Would my engine benefit from these..............

or would it over fuel with them? (Other info, I'm running a 268/276 split duration cam, stage II compressor and a 68mm pulley with ecu chipped to suit by Jabbasport.)
-
your ecu will need it's chip editing to fuel correctly with them
-
Just a comment mate Overkill unless your car can eat up the fuel Grey or green tops will be more than adaquate for your spec mate?
Reds usually are used with 250BHP+
-
Might be worth it with a 65mm pulley
-
Thanks both.
Got green at the moment which I believe are standard 245's. What are the Greys?

Same payload just different colour on different cars used.
Topher 65mm pulley poor charger!

I had thought of a smaller pulley, but I wanted to prolong the life of the compressor, so thats why I went to 68mm. But I think 360 injectors is a massive jump in delivery for my car anyway. I just wanted other opinions.

well I couldn't let jv have a faster rallye than me, now could I?

What BHP are you running and how are you acheiving it?

The idea to try and increase the boost to the head is limited. I would try and increase flow so actuall boost levels drop becuase the air is actually being used up instead of rushing past the valves.
Topher
Fair play mate short term yeah I would love to run one, but my head is stock!
Santa pod this year all three of us LOL!!

Well I am not getting the BHP I should be getting with my set up, so I may be looking at major-ish surgery this year to find out what is wrong. I am suspecting glazed bores. So a glaze bust and new rings is on the cards, probably with minor fettling with the ports. Coupled with a thorough service of the plenum.

hard to be specific since it was all done prior to importing, but it has head work and cams on par with jv's, CAI, i kept the boost return because i like the lubrication benefits... some dodgy looking thing with 'G60 power boost valve' stamped on it next to the isv, and 65mm pulley obviously. Only ever dyno'd it once, where it made 205bhp (10bhp more than jv's).. although it was generally agreed on the day that the dyno was underreading all the cars on that day by a few ponies.

Well nothing like over sized injectors to drip on your bores!
Sounds like a long road mate, but I've stop counting BHP per POUND these days LOL

to be honest i've given up on the power route in fear of ruining a genuine classic.. it'll be put back on standard wheels and suspension and sold once people start spending money again, now that I have a mk1 to play with
-
Well I have just recieved today, a metal boost pipe from jabbasport. I can now fit my larger intercooler a la Rallye, so that should gain me a couple more. But I do still have a problem with the old shed that I have not yet quite put my finger on. I think it has something to do with the ECU and lambda probe. I will know more tomorrow, if I can get to working on the damn thing. I have another ECU which I am going to try. Fingers crossed, but like you said, I still have a way to go.
I'm not after big power, I just want to recover the power that should be there, and maybe release a few more by fettling, rather than building power.

Oh yeah, that's what i was going to tell you on the phone earlier!

I am not going to bid on them. I think they may just compound the problem I have at the moment. There will be others should I need them later, which is doubtfull.
