Lease company has now offered me a manual GTI as they think the combination of diesel and DSG is not going to happen. They tell me they have over 200 cars affected by VWs inability to supply!

Rolled the dice Sunday, or should I say ordered my new GTD! :o)

2 days before they announce the Edition 35, boo, shame they won't do a Edition 35D.  177bhp with 380nm of Torque like the new Audi A6 would make it a bit sweeter. And If I had my way throw in that Haldex unit from the spare parts bin too.

61 Plate GTD 5dr, Shadow Blue, 18" Charleston's, Flat Tyre Indicator, Cruise Control, Bi-xenon (With Dynamic Curve), Storage Pack, Winter Pack and RCD 510.

I get 57 mpg going to and from work on a light throttle and sticking to the speed limit

Here Doc, what kind of run into work do you have, distance, urban 30's, 40's, spirited dereg'd, Motorway that kind of thing
Just trying to guess how much fuel mines going to Sup, not that I can do much about it.

Not quite 3 weeks since ordering and I WANT IT NOW!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Mr F.

PS. I know I should be mindful of the future and will "use the Schwarz!"

Hi mate,

That's doing around 25 motorway miles @ 75 ish and 10 miles 30/40's but it has been modified and it's  run in since then, the fuel economy you can get if you behave is amazing I've had high 70's on my homeward commute

If I drive normally I'll see mid 60's now but if i give it some it goes to early 50's - see my mpg log in the GTD mpg log: http://www.golfgtiforum.co.uk/index.php?topic=176242.0

I've just ordered a 5 door black GTD, std wheels (prefered them to the 18s), and added cruise and bluetooth and thats it. :)

been told 18 weeks :(

Any tips to get the dealer to speed it up a bit? :)
