Sargent Nej 1.8T

So after much looking and searching with help from my friend golfyste, i have finally found the car i want

So here he is, Sargent Nej 

2003 1.8t AUM

As you can see, 100% standard, it has full service history, little high mileage with 128k but runs as tight as a drum!

Got the Sarge home and was well happy with him, exactly what i wanted 

So the list haha
-Full service including oil, plugs,filters as i want the car 100% before i start to play!

-3" straight threw decat exhaust

Im sure they is a few more bits and bobs i have missed off 



So i took the plastic cover off and found they was a fair bit of dirt under there, looks like they spilt the oil when topping up 


little but of elbow work and




So the the Sarge wont be on the road till 20th of this month not long but every day feels like a week haha
I dont want to do anything to the car at all untill i have been driving it for a bit so i have just been keeping my self busy

It is nice and tidy just a couple of scratches on the end of the door strips and that's it
Should polish up very nicely!

Rigggght then, got the sarge on the road a few days ago and a hectic few days they have been

for my birthday my friend golfyste got me 2 rear 15mm spaces so i fitted them, not a massive difference but i like them and just gives that wider stand look

So yesterday me and Ste got the car up, dropped the oil and changed the oil filter, also took the sump off because a few days before, i was driving very efficient (time efficent) haha and i got the low oil pressure light 
so instantly suspicions of a blocked pick up pipe came about, and it was... very haha got that cleaned up and back on 
sorry no photos of any of this, it was hailing/raining and we was laying in 2 inch puddles doing it all, also am sure you all know what a oil filter looks like
 
also on the way to Ste's my exhaust decided to brake in 2 
 

nothing a bit of heat wrap and tie wraps could not fix tho 

No seriously though just ordered my 3" system so that should be here sharpish

Told you I could Fix the exhaust without removing/welding it

WOW been sooo busy helping golfyste with this track car this is the first time i have got chance to up date haha

so hope this all goes on in the right order 

I got home from work and found this in the door way


BOOM new exhaust, get in!

Had to drive around with it in my boot for a bit till me and Ste got chance to get fitting





Ste recommended to heat wrap the exhaust to prevent rattling and somthing to do with keeping heat in the exhaust.., Ste care to explain?

had to cut out the rear bumper to accommodate the new exhaust and i'm planning on getting a mettle trim to sharpen the look up so will up date on that

p.s can i just say, the photo is misleading... my arm are in proportion with each other, my right ones just looking a bit smaller than usual there  haha

Also well the Sarge was up in the air
changed the plugs as the old ones was looking a little past there time :/


Ste had a spare performance air filter knocking a round so wiped that in 


also i dint get any of photos of this but we took the rear shock and springs off and swopped them with some coilovers as my original ones are going on Ste's daily as its going to standard for selling, his off his daily are going on his track car hes building haha

Heat wrap is to keep the gasses hot to stop them slowing down as with you running Lower power the exhaust can be too big and the gasses can cool and slow fowl causing a restriction.
