Well I bought these 16" RS008 and RS009 in 7" and 8" back March 2010, so started getting on with these! -Strip-down, sold the ally lips that were in good condition, used the bolts & nuts on some RS001's that I sold and got the centres sent to Jeff Payne to do the welding and re-drilling job.

Here's some pics of the centre's being welded, turned and re-drilled by Jeff Payne (taken with Jeff's camera-phone):

Centre's back from being painted in original BBS straight silver at Lepsons in Gillingham: http://www.lepsons.com/

I had the barrels done black as you don't see them and they get covered in brake dust & dirt straight away which you can't get to clean without taking the wheels off!

One of the 2x 2"x16" stainless lips from a seller called Scene wheel parts on ebay (also got 2x 1.5"x16"): http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/BBS-RS-16-x-3-stainless-steel-rim-NEW-/220675028242?pt=UK_CarParts_Acc_Wheels_tyres_Trims_Car_Rims_ET&hash=item336141b512

Wurth RTV sealant, thread lock and 136 stainlees RS Bolts and nuts:

First one nearly done-the bits of blue tape were so I knew which bolts had been torqued up:

First one done! Never knew they'd been 5x112 before eh?!

With centre caps with nice red & gold badges and plates placed on:

2x205/40x16 Falken ZE912 tyres-not easy to get hold of and only found one place that could get them!:

Getting the tyres fitted:

First two done!:

I only put the 2x 8” ones together first as I didn’t know if I was going to use 8’s or 7 ½’s on the front, so thought I’d try the 8’s (that were going on the back) on the front to see how they fitted:

Although they just about fitted on the front, they were very close and as I wanted to lower the coilovers, which there would be no way I could do with the 8’s on the front and I didn’t want to cut the original G60 wings/G60 wing liners & arch trims or go for tyres that were more stretched, so decided to go for the 7 ½’s on the front and keep the 8’s for the back.

Now for the 7 1/2"'s!:

One even needed no weights at all for the balancing! :) :

and the 8’s with 205/40x16. Forgot to mention that I also fitted short-stem stainless valves:
