Been a busy week in the Wigit house

The wife's R was three so treated it to a full detail and redcoat and omg it pops now, also had a brake fluid change, MOT and back in next week to try and cure a rattle around drivers door or footwell, they cured the one due to the fake sound thingy

Also sorted out my replacement for the rental Golf R Estate which is going to be a black UP GTI having sorted a deal and got the place in the queue sorted before 2nd Feb

That’s a change from the R Estate wigit. Don’t need to extra space anymore?  Be really interesting to hear your thoughts on the up! GTI when you’ve got to grips with it. Mrs wigit’s R must be looking very nice after its birthday treat.

Here you go sean:

I think it's well worth doing, the white standard lights just don't fit in right but the red really pulls the lighting together

I can’t see the pic... were they from the ebay link and were they easy to install?

I've had problems seeing some pictures, refreshing the page worked for me albeit they took a while to appear. I did my lights as per the instructions on this thread http://www.golfgtiforum.co.uk/index.php?topic=275882.0 but you can buy units outright now on ebay. I also swapped my glovebox light for one of the redundant footwell leds, better than the standard bulb and free

My word that's some snow foam you have there! Looking great, I like white (when clean!)
So are you on winter tyres? Seems everyone is north of Birmingham.
Or do you have other transport with them?

Nothing much, just a trip to the supermarket but even in appalling conditions it still makes an otherwise boring trip fun

Relaxing now with a nice drop of Rioja having been busy all day mopping my OH's fevered brow, bl@@dy flu...

Finally made my mind up and stuck a hand deep into my pocket and bought some new mirror caps. I like the gloss black ones but really wanted carbon fibre. So I've taken a gamble on a set that have a red thread also woven in. I'm not convinced yet that they won't clash on a red car but nothing ventured... Plus I can return them
