The garage / Coding out cold start

In my quest to stop the cold start wastegate/actuator rattle does anyone know if it is possible to cocos out cold start please?

It would save all the effort of trying to find a solution to prevent the rattle

Despite the thing I mentioned earlier about the moonstone grey colour, I have to say that it looks cool on the 8.5 GTI. I like that the fangs are more visible compared to the dolphin's grey color. And I really like the combination of this type of grey and rear IQ lights.

So you definitely won't regret about this colour.  :wink:

Needs new lock or solenoid most likely. When you drive off does the car lock and the orange light come on by the central lock button?

Sometimes it is not locking or unlocking,is there a module that is on the way out.

The difference is most notable with the corners I feel. I wonder if there is a weight reduction with the TCR silencer also?

The dealer I purchased the wheels from swapped over my tyres and fitted the wheels but didn’t charge extra.

A recent large infotainment reboot that required me to turn the car off and restart it, was what gave me the final push to order an 8.5, as I am coming to the end of my warranty period, I felt it was best to jump ship now. I’ve actually been pretty fortunate with software problems on my mk8 being few and far between, I too really do hope the 8.5 is problem free. 🤞

Mine arrived yesterday (Dolphin Grey), love it!

Here are a few small issues I've noticed...

I don't have the same issue with the touch screen noise being loud but the parking sensors are insanely loud, even on the lowest setting!

The ride is slightly firmer than my mk7.5, but not too noticeable.

The VW app includes an option for remote unlock but absolutely doesn't work...the app is awful and practically useless.

Some functions on the screen (such as "shop") say they require a software update and to access it in notifications. When you go to notifications, no such option exists.

Other than that all good so far...
