Had my car detailed today with what was called the:

Bronze Plus: Ceramic package with a 2 year protection coating applied and the treatment consisted of:-
Full Exterior Safe wash
Full Decontamination (iron fallout)
Clay Bar to Bodywork
Plush towel dried
Single stage machine gloss enhancement
All bodywork wiped and prepped for coating
2 year protection Ceramic coating applied (Infinity Wax Synergy 2).

I am very pleased with the results.

Wow I had no idea there's a parts sale on the website!

Also I'm definitely refurbishing mine silver if, or more likely when, the whiteworm sets in.

@P6GTD; there’s a set of genuine 18” forged Belvedere alloys for sale in the ‘Car parts for sale’ section of the forum. They’re described by the seller as ‘mint’ condition and are available with or without tyres. Link; https://www.golfgtiforum.co.uk/index.php?topic=291168.0

They’re not diamond cut (I thought all Belvedere’s were) so they may have been refurbished. Maybe worth contacting the seller @Peter_booker2003 for more info.

Cars and parts for sale / VW Belvedere 18" Wheels
« Last post by Peter_booker2003 on 14 July 2025, 17:48 »
Bought recently but decided I just don't need them and my 19" Reifnitz do the job perfectly.

Here I have for sale a set of mint condition Genuine VW Belvederes with more or less brand spanker Conti All Season Tyres in a cool 225/40/18 size to suit 7.5J x 18” ET49.

These are a forged wheel made by Fuchs and look lovely when they're not diamond cut IMO. They are a light anthracite colour and look mega.

No centre caps included.

Collection only WS15 please, no postage at this time.

£1500 ono or would sell without the tyres for £1300.

Golf mk8 / Re: Exhaust upgrade

I 'd certainly have a listen to an Akra before dropping 3K on one. I have one on mine and I don't think it's much louder than a standard one maybe a different tone.
Ideally you'd need to hear a standard one and one with an Akra side by side but maybe the other options you've suggested are more suited to your requirements.

I heard a mk8 clubsport with a res delete zoom off and it sounded very nice, a little louder than standard but not stupid loud. More OEM+. Might be an option, also would be cheaper?

Golf mk7 / Underside Wing Mirror Casing

This thread can be ignored/deleted - figured out why it cost so much for the part. Can't get hold of just the casing as the motors are built in so will just have to stomach a replacement.

MOT record is pretty good, just things that would need replacing on a low mileage 19 year old car, looks a clean example in the pictures.

Hello guys !!

Frenchy right across the Channel (in Britanny) here to maybe save you !

I am currently working on a solution to rebuild those pulleys by replacing the old rubber by polyurethane ;)

It's not done yet, but in a few weeks, i'll be able to tell you if it works and if you can do the same for yours !

You will have to ask me because this work need a special mold quite expensive and i'm paying for it ^^
