Do the LEDs fit?  I had some tower led ones in amber and they never fit

Picked this up so will be fitting soon, a sports cat isn't for me...



Just puzzled about this 2.25" end and how I'll get it to fit to my 2.5" system, maybe get a sleeve made up?



Also fitted my Powerflex bush to the S3 steering rack and binned the track rod ends that were seized on there





Not much will be happening over the next few months due to me and the wife saving up to pay a nice chunk off our mortgage when it comes up for renewal. It's in need of a service which I have all the bits for so that's a priority over fitting all the bits I've accumulated

Oh side markers have been cut in so I can get cracking on that, won't cost me any money to sort and fit them lol

Could you not just cut the pipe off where it downsizes to 2.25 then get a length of 2.5" and a couple of sleeves?

Nothing like building all the anticipation haha

Yeah that was the plan I kinda had in my head mate, get 200mm 2.5" pipe and flare it one end...

I know I want all the bits fitted now too but I know it will need a full geometry setup once it's done plus I want my other rear beam with new wheel bearings and the 256mm rear brakes fitted at the same time. I haven't even started that lot yet lol

Not a chance mate, for the price I got it it's a bloody good system, just the sports cat is a bit small at 2.5". It'll do for MOTs though

Anyway on the subject of the decat I had a little measure of the turbo flange and this is what I found...



Interesting that a 2.75" ID flange has been used on a 3" pipe

So this will be coming to work with me Monday and getting some grinding treatment to open it up to 3" or as close as I can get it.

I'm very interested in one of these fit my AGU. Why no sports car? Are you just going to swop back the OE downpipe for every MOT?

It just doesn't feel as free revving as before TBH.

Quick update on the progress of my side markers....





The edges around the lights need a little bit of tidying up which I'm planning to do this week, also I'll use a tiny bit of bumper filler around them to make sure it looks as neat as possible

Not a bad effort , but I am sure the perfectionists among us would want is smooth.

Once it has been resprayed and sanded down I'm sure it will look fine and dandy!
