oh and i find once its misted or iced up, i get puddles in passenger footwell too, its not matrix,ive had that out

Does your fan squeek when its on. Sounds like its coming in through the bonnet scuttle in the fan.

mine was coming through there down to the passanger footwell, the scuttle tray was cracked so bit of silicon sorted it out.

Mines in a garage, but I am going to invest in a dehumidifier to keep things nice and dry, that might help.

Dehumidifier to get rid of the damp is the answer.

I am actually considering plumbing one in permanently into the Golf, its always going to be a moist car - regardless of what I seal!

As said all down to leaks etc etc.. But this can help things out :)
