I miss the handling on the mk2, feels so much more solid. MK3 is a very good daily car though, thats why i bught it.

hmmm i dont know,  just bought my sister an SE, which isnt helping either

think it might have something to do with the fact my suspension is so hard on my mk2, its not that comfortable as a daily.

cheers dec

agree with what your saying, although i still think my mk2 was faster on the 0-60. deffo faster top speed easy. hit 115 in the mk2 on a private road  but i think that was pure and utter luck!  cos after that whenever i maxed it out it would seriously struggle after 100! MK3 goes well past 100 easy though.

Had 2 Mk2 Golfs and I'm now on my 3rd Mk3, does that say something about Mk3's?

It may only be a 1.4 SE but I've had 110mph out of it! (my mates private runway)

In my opinion the Mk3 was the best Golf made :lipsrsealed:

If I could have got a decent insurance quote, I would have got a mk5 gti over any other golf because of the low miles and warenty
