No, its not a Mk2.  The longlife oil itself is quite expensive.. around the £50-60 mark I think.  I don't understand why you're so concerned anyway as you don't own a Mk5 GTI.   

Send a letter to VW UK HQ if you're so concerned at the prices.

the OP was greeting about being taken up the ass for servicing costs, so not just me.

to be honest you've already wasted ~£20k on what's essentially a family hatchback so another £300 servicing won't make any odds.

well my local garage does my oil change for 25.00 plus a set of plugs for 15.00 so being  a tight scot not bad the stealers wont rip me off
