Washer problem...
« on: 28 November 2008, 10:08 »
The Mk2 has developed another fault.
When I turn my wipers on, the washer jet comes on and stays on.
I have to keep playing with the wipers to stop it spraaying.

Any ideas if this is a problem with connections on the stalk or something??

Probably! Take the stalk cowlings off and have a gander. You may find a dirty connection oe a bent contact plate or something. Failing that it could be a sticking relay.

i think he ment cos it may have a bad contact so more resistance and more heat and possibly flames, but i doubt it, my mate washers and rear wiper stopped working he tried to strip it and clean the contacts but in the end went to the scrappy and got another one which is proberly the smartest move.
