Tip for ya matey, I used to do this in my old CRX as it always had the same problem,
Get a G clamp, Put it round the light tight, Obviously not too tight or you will smash the light. Then pop the light in the oven and the glue will melt, Then tighten it up just a smidgen to make all the glue spread, Then pop it back in the oven for a few more mins, Before taking it out and leaving it on a window shelf to cool just like you would a warm cherry pie.
When cool, the entire light should be sealed again. Just remove the G clamp and your away.
(and trust me, You think Mk3s are hard. Im doing a Jetta conversion on a Mk2, And its now my second day and im having to pin the hood n all!)
