Here we are....who guessed right then?

My reasoning behind the purchase

Wanted some decent quality lightweight 18" wheels and tyres for under £1k

I asked for an addition to the alloys too. They can do steel inserts that are built into the alloys and strengthen the bolting area for cars with higher performance, so these were incorporated too.

Wheels are 19.8lb which is a saving of 6.7lb (3kg) per wheel.

They are built in the UK to competition specs and come with a 2 year warranty against manufacturing faults.

They open up the brake area at the front of the car nicely too.

I decided against Black as I thought the silver would match better (which I think it does quite well)

My dad's inherited modding pot still has room for a few more bits before I have to delve into any joint savings

I tried on some black ones with the red lip and they didn't quite float my boat with the silver of the car. They look better in the flesh to quote the eternal phrase

Oh and I spotted these whilst I was there, they do look quite lush, especially with the Black and silver centre cap

I think they are marmite type of wheels, but you bought them for a purpose as well, most people dont.
I also think they look better in the flesh.

Its a  from me.
