Will a set of Minilites off a 1980 Mini fit a 1990 Mk2 Golf GTi ?

No....mini wheels are 4x4 inch, but Golfs are 4x100mm....close but no cigar!

You can get them to fit using spigot rings and wobble bolts

bit dodgy though...

you might need to grind a bit off your calipers as well...

they should fit, i had a set of 13" superlites from a mini on my golf for a while, and ive seen other people do it to! but being 12" i doubt they will clear the brakes on a gti

I've just seen a set of 4 Minilite 7x13', they were cheap so I was just wondering

They fit with standard brakes and the weights moved. Spigot ring is all you need. Ben

And wobble bolts as 4x4" is not the same as 4x100mm as pointed out above. It's close but it's not right, you'll be bending your wheels bolts ever so slightly.

Nope, but BMW Mini wheels do with a small amount of work from a good machinist. Have a nice set of 17's that have been modified to fit. :cool:
