BMW 330CI Full correction Dodo Juice Detail
« on: 26 October 2008, 17:26 »
Today was a full correction job on a BMW 330ci with the hard top on to be corrected also.

This job is over 2 days and is a full external paint correctin detail and also engine bay and interior too.

Went and collected the car last night ready for an early start this morning.

Heres some before shots.

First the wheels were cleaned using some AS smart wheels and a selection of brushes and the tyres and arches cleaned using some g101.

Next up was to clean all the door/boot shuts and also the engine all this was done with some g101 and a swissvax style brush then rinsed.

Then the car was then pre-soaked using some citrus degreaser

This was left for a few mins then rinsed.

Next up was to snow foam using some g101 to help strip the old protection, this was left for 5 mins and rinsed.

Next the car was washed 2bm with a schmitt and some megs gold class shampoo and then left and not dired because I was claying next.

Noticed this blob of glue or something on the bonnet while washing so a nice soak with some tardis and of it came.

Out came the dodo juice grey clay along with some last touch as a lube.

Before:

After 1 half:

This was the other half:

Then the car was re-washed again and then dried with miracle drying towel and some last touch.

Now lets have a look at some of the defects:

It had been painted on the nearside due to spotting some overspray and a run and look what else was lurking

Big scratch

Now time to try a test patch on the bonnet, I knew I wasd going to be tough going so out came my menz ip as I haven't used it in a while along with a high gloss orange cutting pad. This is the results after 1 hit and not yet finished down.

Pretty pleased with the results so I stuck to this combo and then finished down using some menz final finish via the black high gloss finishing pad.

More correction shots:

50/50's

I then quickly dressed the tyres using some CG new look trim gel and cleaned the exhaust using some megs nxt metal polish.

I then called it a day as my back was killing. Todays work was 8 hrs and I have still to correct the bumper and then lime prime lite followed by 3 coats of purple haze.

Grabbed a few shots of how its looking now.

Looks for looking Paul.

The rest will be uploaded sometime tomorrow evening as Im away at lunchtime at Heyford park on a driving day so need this finished by 12 :(

Heres this mornings work on the beemer getting it ready.

some 50/50's of the leather

Car all finished with 3 coats of Dodo purple haze

Thanks for looking

Paul

I tend to leave the purple haze on, while i've dressed the tyres/exhaust/windows etc so usually 30 mins ish,

with the dodo supernatural I tend to try and leave it for around 1hr to cure as It is then so easy to buff off.
