that was a 14.8 and it was about half way up when bens dsg and torque just pulled him and gave him the good speed at the end and even Luca had a few probs getting a good time and his is stage 2 so it was not just me  but for me its how the car is on the road and i know its good and is defo making good power but all will soon change  and how the hell do you stop the axle tramp?

i think its manual, hense why vtec's blasted by him, both same stage of tune i think

i am stage 1 revo and manual and had taken dp off and gone back to stock as i am having a play around with the car for when i get s3 intercooler on and stage 2 and fuel pump .
What a day i just could not get traction and had mad wheel hop or axle tramp if want to call it that   so was backing power off to compensate and then nailing it once i got traction back but i did ok with a 14.88 qtr mile so abit crap but it was so slippy. I was running the car with 3 1/4 of a tank of juice full interior and baby seat and spare wheel unlike some   but was so good to meet Ben and Luca again who are both top lads and we had lots of fun, the trip down with Bens sat nav
i had him for a mo

one of Ben its a blur

me

 and a cool Gasser

Nice pics mate..
It's not the time that concerned me so much mate, it was the terminal speeds. The times can change an awful lot (especially with the lack of grip yesterday), but the terminal speeds generally stay the same give or take a few mph and give a good indication of BHP. Like you say Luca was struggling too, but his terminal speeds were still 10mph + more than yours for some strange reason (which is a massive difference and a baby seat, few litres of petrol and a parcel shelf won't make anywhere near that difference). A standard Ko3 GTI achieves around 92-95mph.. Luca's when it was the same spec as yours yesterday got over 104mph.. Be interesting to see what happens in 2 weeks bud. You sticking the Milltek DP back on?
What was your other times and terminals Mat? As didn't see you run after the first one, was to busy getting hacked of queuing..

My best was 14.5 @ 102.?
Last time at pod my best was 14.0 @104.77
I went on a good 1 1/2 hours later than ben and matts first run so the track was quite slippy due it it being colder. I ran 1/2 tank fuel inc seats, spare wheel etc. Didnt know ben took his out
The grip definately got worse as it got later as vtech ran 13.4 on his first run (still daylight) on his next run he was in the 14's. There were quite a few cars running slower than they should yesterday
IMO i think i could of been in the 13's if the track conditions were better. Also i have one more excuse  I left my car running from the back of the queue to the start line which was a good 45mins :lipsrsealed:.

not sure fella as was getting abit peed off aswell and on the second run messed about with settings on revo and it made it slower   so that will teach me to mess with it. Its strange as i have been out in it all day and its pulling like a nutter today as i had a play with an sti today and i think i shocked him

Wow wow wow  , I never took my seat out.. I left the parcel shelf and the foam seat bottom at home, as was going to remove the back bench to see what difference it made. But never happened in the end, as most other things didn't..
My 3 runs were..
13.4 @ 107mph (before sun went down)
After sun went down..
14.2 @ 106mph  :embarassed: (sat on the spot for about 10 mins spinning
13.6 @ 105mph
So, like you say Luca, the cold conditions didn't help at all, as the track was like it was coated in margarine..   When I watched you're first run, I could here you spinning through the first 2 gears..  , but going off the times from that GPS meter, she certainly picked up well once got traction mate
Need to take each other out at RR day me thinks. As not been out in a manual modded one yet.
