16v vs VR6

hey,

as you may well know im looking for a new car at the moment, so  i dedicated my saturday to finding my new dub.

1st off went to birmingham to have a look at a lhd mk3 vr6.

it was a very nice looking car but the garage was as dodgy as f**k( they didnt really kno what the vr6 was and they knew f**k all about the car!)

but they have had the car for 3 months and i could sense there could be a bargain purchase in the offing..........

after doing all the normal checks on the car( thanks for the advice golfvr6 ) i took it out for a test drive.... it f**kin flew!i was well impressed with the drive and handling.

got back to negotiate the deal and they offerd me ?1400 for my 8valver!
i was like fookin hell!!

but before i sed its a done deal i wanted to view this mint 16valver in leicester........

the helios blue g reg 16valver was the stuff dreams were made of, it drove like a dream and looked beautiful, and its cheaper than the vr6,(not by much tho)

the guy at that garage was a prick tho, and only gave me ?500 quid for my valver

so ive got a serious dilema! which one do i go for?

I think you may have problems selling on a LHD VR6, so I would sell you motor privately and think about the valver

i agree. left hook on a vr6 isnt all that because there are loads of right hook ones. would be worth it if it was a rallye or g60

hmm tough one this... i like both motors alot, ive had a left hooker before (vw camper) and was ace fun i think the vr6 is a steal if thats what you want, if not the 16v maybe the way to go, go with your heart marcus and not others opinions, just make sure it all checks out ok etc then do a deal, go with pound notes and strike a nice deal!! id personally go for the vr6 (but thats only cause i have a 16v already!!) even though its a left hooker the price you got mine for it works out a steal!!
