if i put me 1.6 into a garage to change the manifold and exhaust system to one from an 8v gti how much would i be looking at paying??i have the exhaust and manifold

it's a fair amount of work to do them. best to ask the garage you want to do the work really. at least a few hours work there.

The only tricky part about changing a full system is the manifold. In my opinion, if u've got the time you'll save yourself a 3 figure sum if you do it yourself. depends how confident you are. mybe you could put everything on yaself apart from the manifold and get the garage just to do that?

been thiking i might just pick up another head, new valves, tappetts gti cam, do the manifolds while its of the car??
