Admiral may be as cheap as chips for their policy, but they are utter sh!te for any claims handling.  There was a thread on another forum seriously slating Admiral.  Avoid.

Find an insurance company with a 5-star "Defacto" rating, phone them up, and haggle.  An extra 50 or 100 quid spent on a decent ins co will be well worth it if you ever have to claim - even for a windscreen!

I would second that on Admiral, they are cheap but a b!tch to claim from, hence why they are cheap, you get what you pay for.
My sister was with Elephant, same group as Admiral and she had an accident and it was a nightmare to claim, and I mean a nightmare, avoid at all costs.  :nerd:

Thanks for all the replies . I phoned Admiral because I wanted to pay monthly and the price went from £302 to £420 . I rang Tesco and they dropped fron 450 to 430 , and threw in courtesy car for nowt , so Im staying with them.

Just a friendly prod - nothing malicious.

Anyhow, did you ever post that pic of your new screen?

Anyhow 2, following on from my musings about tints and your palava, I phoned a few local screen fitters and asked about swapping my clear rear screen for an OEM privacy glass - some of them asked about insurance, so I told em I was with LV, and they said LV are one of the few who never vet glass claims, and are happy to fit OEM glass.
