Thankfully I havent got any damage to the paint work apart from some stone chips. Being a white car the super resin polish will remove very minor scratches i.e not deep or down to the undercoat. To get rid of the stone chips Halfords sell the touch up kit that comes with an undercoat and topcoat that has the pens with a brush or a nib which lets you put the paint exactly where you need it. Works okay but I find the nib sometimes doesnt stop pouring the paint out and so you have to be careful. If you are after restoring the paintwork Autoglym do a paint renovator, but never needed to use it (not that I am a rep for Autoglym!)

have been using  ZYMOL wax and ZYMOL auto-wash for the past 18 months i beleive it's a lot better than any other wax/polish on the market including AUTOGLYM , as for the more expensive products in the range i have not tried them (far to expensive) but VW MOTORING ran  an article on them about a year ago in which it was very impressed. I notice as stated in another reply ZYMOL is now available in HALFORDS at a price which is far cheaper than the official suppliers SPORTSCAR WORLD ?12 compared to nearly ?18!!...another wax which i've read about on various other VW/AUDI websites is a product called SWISSOL  for more info go to the audi tt-forum website

They forecast a really good weekend, you might have trouble avoiding direct sunlight.........quite the opposite of what I'm going to doing at the VW-action show

The more expensive SWISSOL and ZYMOL products as opposed to the Cleaner Fluid, are easier to apply and give a superior finish. They are also two part treatments, the first part being the cleaning of the paintwork with Paint Cleaner Fluid or HD Cleanse, and then a top coat of a high quality wax to seal the paintwork and to give a stunning shine. You then on a monthly basis just 'top up' the wax protection with another coat of wax.

I used some of the Cleaner Wax yesterday on a badly faded whie Polo, and it worked but it was hard work and needed two goes to do it properly. I ran out before I had finished and then used some of the Cleaner Fluid instead. Much easier and did the job in 1 go not two. Then I had to put a wax coat on top but that was extremely quick to do.

I think the Cleaner Wax is a combination of a cleaning fluid and a synthetic wax

At the end of the day, if you want speed and ease of use, then you pay the money.

i use zymol all the time is without a dought the best polish out there but at a price ?40 for the small tub of 'CARBON' wax

you just have to make sure that you use it correctly very hard to get off if you let it dry......but soooo good you can eat it!!!!

?40 for a tub is not that bad when you consider that it will last about 3 years or 40 odd waxes of the car, so that works out at ?1 a wax!

And it will build up layers as well, as opposed to the Cleaner Wax, and the AG Super Resin Polish, when remove what is already there and put a fresh layer on/ Or in the case of AG, doesn't even take the muck off first!

I can vouch for Mer, its excellent. Its what they use at Aston Martins just down the road from me!
