I'd spend the extra to get coilovers!

Yes, yes I know some people don't need coilovers and that they have certain budget restraints, however if you go the extra spend and get coilovers it means that you can choose the drop you want within the confines of their design.

Hopefully Robin will add his personal opinion on the FSD/Eibach combo as he has them on his car.

....I had one of the first sets of KoniFSD's and from Awesome (Andy). Also Eibach Pro-Kit springs. I've done just under 50k miles on them (also with Eibach ARB's).

But, recently they have started going soft! Up to now I have been extremely happy with them and they are a very practical solution for a fast road car. Yes, you are limited how low you can go but which is more important to you - The Look? or your ride?

We've checked them for leakage and there is no fault visible so Awesome will send them back for testing by Koni in Holland.

Meanwhile I don't know yet whether to get some of the latest FSD's which Koni have developed with an extra valve or to go with VW Racing and KW's which they'll set up with me at Bruntingthorpe. Everyone says that coilovers are a very hard ride.

My advice would be to wait and get the new KoniFSD's and get the Eibach springs which are specifically for the Mk5 GTI and not TDI etc.

^Will someone please tell me she doesn't look pink in pics anymore.

....No - The Ed30 rear valance is one piece - You'd have to do what I've done (apart from quads!) - R32 'bumper' plus either R32 exhaust trim or aftermarket like my carbonfibre one.

wonder if any one makes a panel that just covers the lower part ???? think that would be a good seller imo.
so do you think i should go with fsd s +eibach or do a little more research first ?
