if people give up it could ruin it for lots of other ed30 owners ,  you can design and produce as many plaques as you want if its not from vw it means nothing !!!!!!!!!!!!!!

100% agree, we need to keep up the pressure on VW and make sure they keep to the promises that a number of people on here have now had in writing that the plaques will be produced.

i think its just a case of as many ed30 owners as possible getting in touch with vw customer care (not the dealers ) i think a type of petition from this forum would be good  but dont really know how to go about it !
 i cant even work out how to put a pic on my sig !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I think the idea of some form of group letter to VW UK and VW HQ with a list of names/reg's is the best way forward to show the level of dissatisfaction amongst their customer base.

Plus it could be linked back to the some of the posts on here showing the disappointment in the lack of customer service from VW UK so far.

I have started to put together a letter and would be happy to pull all the details of the ED30 owners on here together (plus from any other forums we can get people involved from) and send this all off and chase it up.

what about informing PVW, Golf+, EVO, Top Gear, edition 38, club GTi, newspapers, 5th gear - basically anyone in the motoring world with some sort of clout - or to sufficiently embarass VW - we all bought a car that was sold to us all as a 1500 only production run ONLY - not god knows how many more !!

We were duped by VW 

If I can be of any help whatsoever - infact I might start drafting emails to as many people as possible tomorrow - can anyone assist with compiling a reply here with all previous threads about the plaques so I can include them in my emails tomorrow - we have to do something about this  ....

What does everyone think ?

I think we should have vw reply in writing as evidence and keep a record of what they have said so far.  If they say they are going to produce the plaques, they will have to.
