Colour coded bumpers!?
« on: 21 September 2008, 16:20 »
Anyone know anything about body colured bumpers and side skirts?
Mine are all the same colour as the car, (WHITE) rather than half black. I bought it 2nd hand when it was 9 months old, but I see alot of Gti's with half black bumpers and skirts!? AND a hell of  lot brand new Gti's with coloured bumpers.
I can't understand why this is? (as they really do look like it's came from the factory that way!).
Help!

unless it's a edition 30 or a pirelli the bumpers on your car have been painted by the previous owner as vw only painted the parts you mention on those two models

do you have pictures

In the UK they didn't paint the lower parts of the Golfs, but you could order VW individual spec cars and they came colour coded too. :nerd:

Painted at the factory - BUT only on import models!

However I'm uncertain as to whether you could spec a GTI individual :undecided:
