Well... I've been threatened with a section 59 a few times just for sitting around in car parks talking and that, not actualy doing anything wrong like handbrake turns or playing stupidly loud music etc..

I got told that they had given me a section 59 before, but if you dont actualy sign anything then you aint got one! So basicaly if you didnt sign anything then your alright fella!

so instead the copper will just throw the book at you and you will probably got o court, iv never heard of anyone up here getting a section 59

YOU CAN CONTEST THIS!

i was issued one by a youngish police officer because i pulled away from a set of lights and accidently slipped the clutch a bit too quickly resulting in my tyres 'chirping' a tiny bit.
He followed me down the road, pulled me over and gave me some bull$hit story about scaring the driver next to me!
I asked for his PC number and told him politely that it was a mistake and i had recently had a new clutch fitted (true).
I went down to the station and asked to speak to the officer in charge, then told that i felt very unfairly treated and explained the situation and told him that i felt as if i had been discriminated against.
He then checked his system and said the officer who had issued me the section 59 had been giving them out a bit too hastily and that i wasn't the first to raise a complaint.
then proceeded to tell me not to worry about it and said he would have a chat with the officer in question.
If you are unfortunate enough to get issued one - fight your corner, it's worth a go!

can i ask what a broken line in the middle of the road means?  If you know the answer then bloody contest it...it means you can overtake if safe to do so and without breaking the speed limit.

You can also contest it on the grounds of the actual dangerous driving of the woman in front, as 15mph in a 30mph zone is not exactly safe nor courteous is it?  How many "normal" road users would get miffed at this?  I'm sure most.  She was rude and kept her speed down to p!ss you off resulting in you sitting behind her...how slow would you be going to create distance between you and her and what would the minimum braking distance be at 15mph?  All this and more is what i'd be saying, along with you overtook her as well you tw4ts!!!

How close were they to you...why didn;t they pull her?  Its all down to sterotyping and therefore they didn't follow anti-discriminatory practise.  Tell em to get feck and contest it... the form you signed will have his collar number on.

if people don;'t contest then how do we expect the government to sit up and listen if we all lie down like good little dogs...we are fast becoming pets to the governments whims and do as they say without thinking and i blame television!
