What Suspension Kit?

Tell me what you've had fitted, what works, comfort, price, and quality.
I intend to stick with standard 16 inch wheels and I dont want a bone shaking ride (oo'er!)
I wont rule out fitting 17's at some point.

I'v got an H&R cup kit arriving tomorrow, so that should be fitted by the weekend, and I can let you know how that drives. The new 16" BBS splitties will be going on as well, so it's going to be interesting to see if it turns the wafty Mk3 into a boneshaker  ;D

I did have a Jamex kit on an old Mk2 a few years back, and that was fine - cheep 'n'ncheerfull , but I only drove on it for 18 months, so can't comment on its longevity.

Koni/Eibach tend to be praised very highly... AmD do them for about ?800 inc VAT, installation, 4 wheel "Beissparth" alignment, etc, etc.

I'm very keen to get them on my car, but I've got a Cabriolet on 205/40/17's already... it's really gonna shake all over the place then.

Spax kit wasn't a massive saving, unless you're doing it all yourself, other option was Koni/H&R, but the Koni/Eibach seems a lot more popular and cost less.

GolfVR6 normally swears by Weitec as being a nice alternative.

Not voted 'cos I'm still waiting to sort mine out and can't vouch for anything.

P.I. Springs and Spax adjustables.
Got them on my other car - a Peugeot 405 Mi16. Had em for over 4 years now with 50k miles done and still fine. This car is too low for todays speed humps being a longer wheel base than a Golf, but the handling is superb!

Thinking of doing a swop on my Golf but as i've already got 17's only want to drop about 20/25mm
so the ride aint too harsh and can cope with speed bumps etc.

Suppliers - try Larkspeed, the are cheaper than Demon Tweeks.
